Do I need a visa to visit Spain?

  • Citizens of the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein do not need a visa.
  • Citizens of the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and many other countries can enter without a visa for stays of up to 90 days.
  • For longer stays or to work/study, a visa is required. Check with the Spanish consulate in your country.

Is it safe to travel to Spain?

  • Spain is a very safe country for tourists.
  • As in any tourist destination, beware of pickpockets in very crowded areas.
  • Keep your valuables safe and don't leave belongings visible in the car.
  • In case of emergency, call 112 (single European emergency number).

What currency is used in Spain?

  • Spain uses the Euro (€) as its official currency.
  • Credit and debit cards are widely accepted.
  • ATMs are available in all cities and towns.
  • You can exchange currency at banks and exchange offices.

What is the best time to visit Spain?

  • Spain can be visited year-round.
  • Spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) offer pleasant temperatures and fewer tourists.

Do I need a plug adapter?

Can I drive with my driver's license?

Is English spoken in Spain?
